On the occasion of the "the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation" held in Beijing, Zhao Ming, Director of EESIA, was invited to participate in the seminar on "China and Gulf Cooperation Council Countries: Strategic Partnership for Sustainable Energy". The seminar is jointly organized by the King Abdullah Oil Research Center (KAPSARC) of Saudi Arabia and the Energy Research Institute of Peking University.
KAPSARC President Fahad Alajlan and Dean Jin Zhijun of Peking University Energy Research Institute delivered welcoming speeches respectively. The two-day meeting invited representatives from relevant industry associations, research associations, and university research institutes in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Kingdom, and China to deliver their presentation. The seminar focused on the seven themes of economic cooperation between China and the six Gulf countries under the framework of the "the Belt and Road" initiative, circular economy and net zero path, and clean energy supply chain. Chairwoman Zhao Ming presided over the discussion on the link of "digitalization and energy transformation".
