On August 3, 2023, EESIA and the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ), with strong support from the German Overseas Chamber of Commerce Alliance - Greater China (AHK), jointly organized the "China Germany Large Public Building Energy Efficiency Potential Exploration Roundtable" to explore the direction and prospects of energy efficiency improvement in China's large public buildings, absorb and learn from international advanced technology and management experience, and promote exchanges and cooperation between energy and energy efficiency enterprises in China and Germany.

In order to explore the potential distribution and influencing factors of energy-saving renovation in large public buildings, EESIA and GIZ organized expert and enterprise discussions in the early stage to carefully design a survey questionnaire for analyzing the influencing factors of energy-saving renovation potential in large public buildings. The questionnaire was distributed to various relevant entities in the field, such as energy service companies, building owners and equipment manufacturers. Nearly 400 feedback results were successfully collected. At the meeting, Jiang Haojie, the head of EESIA's consulting and research department, shared the analysis and research of the survey with the audience.

They also explored potential cooperation opportunities between Chinese and German enterprises and jointly explored innovative practices and development trends in energy conservation and carbon reduction in large public buildings.
