To stimulate green and low-carbon technology innovation and empower energy saving and carbon reduction in China's construction sector, the "Building Energy Saving and Carbon Reduction Technology Innovation and Development Forum" was grandly held during the 2024 Intelligent Building Exhibition (IIBE) on July 18, 2024. This forum focused on the cutting-edge field of building energy saving and carbon reduction, aiming to drive technological breakthroughs and innovative solutions in the building energy saving industry, infusing new momentum into the industry's continuous progress.
The forum was co-organized by EESIA and the Green Construction and Intelligent Building Branch of the China Construction Industry Association, and hosted by the Green Construction and Intelligent Building Magazine. Over 200 industry leaders, including elites from the energy-saving and comprehensive energy service sectors such as integrators, investors, and service providers from across the country, gathered to share their expertise.
The forum was chaired by Qiao Qinghui from EESIA's Member Services Department. Li Cuiping, Vice President and Secretary-General of the Green Construction and Intelligent Building Branch of the China Construction Industry Association, and Li Qingju, Secretary-General of EESIA, delivered opening remarks to kick off the conference.
In the keynote speech titled "Potential Analysis of Energy Saving and Carbon Reduction in Public Buildings," Jiang Haojie from EESIA's Consulting and Research Department systematically introduced the development and energy consumption status of China's public buildings. He shared EESIA's experiences and insights gained from front-line research regarding key areas of potential, core technologies, and constraints and challenges faced in the process of energy-saving work. Drawing on the latest policies and research outcomes, he analyzed the future development trends of energy saving in public buildings, painting a clear and vivid picture of the industry's prospects for the attendees.
During the thematic report session, Du Cong, Service Director of Wilo (China) Pump Systems Co., Ltd., Huo Weifeng, General Manager of Guangdong Sai'an Technology Co., Ltd., Li Yuanyang, Director of the Hyper-Efficient Research Institute of Midea Building Technologies, Zhang Hongmei, Sales Director of the Energy Building Control Sales Department of Beijing Hailin Automation Technologies Co., Ltd., and Li Zhi, General Manager of Cabona (Beijing) New Materials Co., Ltd., shared their innovative technologies, solutions, and success stories on topics such as "Dual Carbon Optimization Strategies for High-Efficiency Pumps," "Achieving Efficient Energy-Saving Operation of Buildings Through Smart Control Systems," "Practice of High-Efficiency Central Utility Plant Solutions in Building Energy Saving and Regional Energy Management," "EBA Energy Building Control System," and "Highly Efficient Smart Envelope Technology."
The "Public Institution Energy Management Innovation Practice" roundtable discussion was moderated by Cao Ning, Deputy Secretary-General of EESIA. Li Qingju, Secretary-General of EESIA; Sun Hao, Leader of the Beijing Central Government Energy-Saving Working Group of China Southern Power Grid Comprehensive Energy Co., Ltd.; Yang Heyang, Chairman of Zhongqineng Technology Co., Ltd.; and Yu Weifeng, Chairman of Tianjin Fengshang Smart Energy Technology Development Co., Ltd., four leading industry representatives and experienced experts, discussed public institution energy management innovations. The participants delved into the models, solutions, and practical experiences of public institution energy management, providing valuable ideas and practical guidance for promoting innovative energy management service models and advancing energy-saving and carbon reduction efforts in public institutions.

There was a bustling crowd at each booth, with existing and potential partners and professional visitors stopping by to engage in in-depth discussions about collaboration opportunities.
